Alex Tumukunde is the Founder and Director of Bio-Innovations Company Ltd, a pioneering social enterprise in Uganda focused on transforming organic waste into eco-friendly cooking fuel. With a deep passion for environmental conservation and sustainable energy solutions, Alex has dedicated his career to combating deforestation and promoting renewable energy alternatives. He brings extensive experience in tree planting, waste-to-energy initiatives, and community-driven environmental projects. Under his leadership, Bio-Innovations has successfully engaged women and youth in the production of briquettes, providing both employment opportunities and clean energy solutions for institutions across Uganda. Alex is committed to creating impactful, sustainable change by combining innovation, environmental stewardship, and social empowerment.

Rashida is a dedicated manager passionate about making a difference in society while efficiently managing resources and opportunities. She is committed to financial integrity and operational effectiveness. The impact of the work we do in a challenging environment is what keeps her going.

Dorah leads our efforts in market growth and customer outreach. Growing our customer base and reach especially in a fairly new sector has been exciting! Seeing schools which have used firewood for ages to meet their cooking needs switch to our non-carbonized briquettes fills her heart with joy. Transforming schools, factories, and other entities that rely on firewood and charcoal to users of our non-carbonized briquettes is her daily motivation.

Dennis is key to the efficiency and reliability of our production plant. An efficiently run plant is key to ensuring product availability and quality. We ensure that all plant equipment and processes are as per set standards and procedures to support production plans.

Joseph drives operational excellence. Quality, safety, and, efficiency are key to everything we do. Providing only the best products is the bedrock of our operations. It is important to us to keep this promise while prioritizing safety and tightly managing our costs.

Annet focuses on efficient stock control and logistics management. Ensuring we have enough stock levels to meet customer needs even at different peak periods is key to business sustenance and growth. Customer satisfaction is the creed she lives by, driving her commitment to seamless inventory operations.

Muriisa is the specialist ensuring quality control and timely delivery. He emphasizes that quality inputs lead to quality output, ensuring only the best raw materials make up our products. It is also critical that our customers receive their orders in a timely manner. I aim to always keep our customers happy; it’s a promise I intend to keep every time!
